The Beauty of the Exfoliating Glove

Now that winter has given way to spring and you’re beginning to take a closer look at your skin, you have probably noted that it may appear to look a bit dull.

Ladies and gentlemen…if you have not yet done so, you must purchase a pair of exfoliating gloves for your next shower. These gloves have the ability to revive your skin like no other, leaving it to feel soft and smooth and looking so clean... bright.

How Often Should You Exfoliate?

Exfoliation is a ritual of sorts and is not something we necessarily would do every day. Rather, it is recommended that we exfoliate at least once or twice per week to see the best results. An exfoliation schedule helps to get rid of dead skin cells that can block our pores. Exfoliation has a great ability to brighten our complexion –particularly during those skin parching winter months when our skin becomes excessively dry and begins to peel; or even as spring begins and we're able add a bit of true moisture back into skin without seeing it evaporate.

When used with the right product, such as a moisturizing shower gel or exfoliating scrub, exfoliating gloves can really work as a catalyst that helps to rid you of that nasty flaking skin. If you are one who suffers from those horrific, callused heels, this is another way to help remove that excess, dead skin.

In addition, exfoliating gloves may serve to relieve stress from our bodies, relaxing our muscles and overall boosting your mood by the time you step out of the shower.

How to Use Your Exfoliating Gloves

If using bath gel, gently squeeze a half-dollar coin size of bit of gel into the palm of the gloves then gently rub gloved hands together to create a lather. Next without actually scrubbing your skin, begin to use a gentle but moderate massaging motion over your skin with your gloved hands. The good news is that since body skin here is thicker than the skin on our face and neck, it can handle a bit of moderate scrubbing. However, if you are someone with sensitive skin, be careful about using granular body scrubs and washes with your exfoliating gloves as these can create small tears in the skin and lead to irritation and blotchiness.

Where to Purchase Exfoliating Gloves

Exfoliating gloves can be purchased in your local grocery store either in the beauty section or on the same aisle as soap, shower gel or oil. You will find that exfoliating gloves are relatively inexpensive in cost.
